Join youth from all around the world in exploring what HIV/AIDS means to our communities. This is a visual contest – so grab your camera, get creative and be heard! Contest deadline is April 15, 2008.

Submit a photo in response to one or more of the following questions:

1. How does HIV/AIDS affect you?
2. If you are from a country with a low HIV prevalence rate…What would it be like to live in a country like Swaziland where the HIV prevalence rate is almost 40%?

Or

If you are from a country with a high HIV prevalence rate…What would it be like to live in a country like Canada where the HIV prevalence rate 0.3%

3. What can you do as a youth to help stop the spread of AIDS?

Your photos will be reviewed by a panel of judges. A winning photo will be chosen for each question. Each winning photo will be displayed as part of the AC-AF & Project Stitch Digital AIDS Quilt exhibition at Toronto CONTACT Photography Festival in May of 2008. CONTACT is an annual month long festival of photography with over 500 local, national and international artists at more than 200 venues across the Greater Toronto Area in May.

Instructions

Submit at least one photo per question. You are allowed to answer more than one question. Email or mail a high resolution copy of your photo leigh@ac-af.com and be sure to include the following information:

1. The question you have answered.
2. High resolution copy of your photo.
3. Title and description of your photo (maximum 100 words).
4. Your name, age, country or residence.
5. Email address.
6. Your phone number (this information will be kept private – but we need a way to contact the winner).
